Abstract
This article analyzes the interrelation between agro-technical measures aimed at preventing water erosion on foothill rainfed lands and land management practices. It examines specific interventions such as longitudinal and transverse deep tillage, the creation of special water-retaining furrows, increasing the depth of the plow laer, and non-inversion loosening of the soil combined with the cultivation of tall-stemmed crops. The study highlights the significance of these measures within the stages of functional and ecological land use planning. In particular, scientifically grounded recommendations are provided for erosionpreventive land arrangement, contour tillage in accordance with terrain, and the sustainable use of land resources in foothill areas. These measures are considered effective tools for ensuring the agroecological sustainability of land management projects, preserving land bonitet (quality), and preventing land degradation.
