Abstract

Today, the problem of landfills, including those near settlements, remains

topical. In accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, disturbed lands of all

categories, including lands contaminated with oil and oil products, as well as adjacent land

areas that have lost productivity in full or in part as a result of the negative impact of

economic activity, are subject to reclamation. This method is the most effective in combating

degradation of contaminated lands, contributing to the restoration of their fertility by

bringing the lands to a condition suitable for their use in accordance with their intended

purpose and authorized use, by eliminating the consequences of soil contamination,

restoring the fertile soil layer, creating protective forest plantations.
