This article analyzes the importance of maintaining records of agricultural lands, the existing challenges, and modern approaches to solving them. It examines ways to achieve sustainable development in the agricultural sector through efficient use of land resources and accurate land accounting. Particular emphasis is placed on the role of innovative methods such as GIS technologies, remote sensing techniques, and the implementation of digital cadastre systems. Based on Uzbekistan’s experience, practical recommendations are provided along with proposals for improving the land accounting system.
