Abstract

This article investigates the main pests of willow trees (Salix spp.) under the conditions of Uzbekistan, their bioecological development features, and the influence of ecological factors on population dynamics. Field and laboratory studies conducted in

2022–2024 identified the species composition of pests, their distribution range, degree of damage, and natural enemies. A combination of agrotechnical, biological, microbiological, and chemical methods was applied against the major pests, resulting in the development of an effective integrated protection system. A mathematical prediction model was created to forecast the increase and spread of pests. The research outcomes provide the possibility of applying environmentally safe and economically efficient measures for the protection of willow plantations.
