The article examines the characteristics of employment in agriculture characterized by the influence of various factors. For this purpose, indicators describing employment in agriculture were selected, the main reasons for the decrease in population employment were determined, and ways to solve these problems were proposed. Along with Uzbekistan, employment indicators in agriculture of world countries were analyzed.
