Abstract
Republic of Karakalpakstan in 1999-2001. 39-41% of the water needed for the, 50-55% in 2007-2010, and in recent years 54-58% did not receive water at all. In the future, water shortages will increase by 15-17%, and by 2050, current water supplies may decrease by 5 times. In this situation, the pressing issue is to improve the efficiency of land use in agriculture by planting crops that require less water instead of crops that require a lot of water.
