This article discusses the prospects for growing in the climatic conditions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and processing of plant fibers included in the family of bast fibers, one of the main types of natural raw materials of the textile industry. Currently, the expansion of the raw material base, on their basis, an increase in the assortments of the textile industry, the expansion of the production of new products that meet the requirements of the international market is a very active problem. Therefore, the implementation of fundamental projects to create a scientific and practical basis for the cultivation of a plant from the family of bast fibers in the conditions of our republic and the technology for their processing are a requirement of today. As a result of the implementation of the project, the type of bast cultures and the scientific foundations of agrotechnology for the cultivation of these plants in the conditions of the republic, as well as the technologies for their processing, will be determine
