The article presents information obtained as a result of many years of research on modern agrochemical properties of the soils of the Jizzakh steppe, the dynamics of changes in the amount of humus, general and mobile forms of nutrients in the soil layers under the influence of development and irrigation, ways to maintain and increase soil fertility are developed
