SAMARQAND VILOYATIDA MUHOFAZA ETILADIGAN TABIIY HUDUDLAR TIZIMINI TAKOMILLASHTIRISHNING LANDSHAFT-EKOLOGIK ASOSLARI
Abstract
This article analyzes the territorial structure of the system of protected natural areas in the Samarkand region, their landscape-ecological characteristics, their role in biodiversity conservation, and the directions for improving the ecological framework. The results show that mountainous and foothill areas of the region form relatively well-preserved ecological cores, while the Zarafshan, Akdarya, and Karadarya river systems function as ecological corridors. At the same time, the need to expand the network of protected areas in valley, tugai, and other territories with high anthropogenic pressure has been identified. Rare springs, ancient trees, as well as geological and geomorphological objects are recommended to be granted protected status as point elements of the ecological framework.
