Abstract

Thisarticlescientificallyandpracticallyexaminestheevolutionofthelandmanagementsystem, thegeospatialtransformation of land fund categories in the Republic of Uzbekistan from 1990 to 2026, and their regional-structural analysis using the Kashkadarya region as a case study. The research highlights the transition from a purely extensive agrarian model to a geospatial management system based on environmental balance preservation, degradation prevention, and digital geodetic monitoring. Furthermore, the longterm dynamics of changes in land fund categories across the republic are analyzed based on statistical data, substantiating the reasons for re-categorizing agricultural lands into forestry and protected areas. Based on land cadastre data of the Kashkadarya region as of January 1, 2026, the agrarian, industrial-energy, and ecological specializations by districts were identified. In conclusion, scientific proposals and recommendations were developed for monitoring land resources using digital technologies (remote sensing), implementing a differentiated approach, and integrating reserve lands into economic turnover.
