Abstract

The article analyzes the results of laboratory studies of tomato fruits and seedlings affected by gray mold in greenhouse conditions, and establishes that the growth and development of Botrytis cinerea is significantly affected by various environmental factors. Among them, the main place is occupied by temperature. In 2024-2025, the growth and development of the fungus was studied in laboratory conditions on various nutrient media and at different temperatures of -18-20°C; 22-24°C and 32-35°C. It was found that the best growth and development of the Botrytis cinerea fungus was determined on potato agar and oatmeal agar at a temperature of 22-24°C, at which the daily increase reached 37-39 mm.
