Abstract
This article analyzes the importance of irrigated lands and the necessity of their rational utilization. Special focus is placed on the role of the national land cadastre data, which is used to evaluate land productivity, determine land value and taxation, optimize land usage, and justify land management projects. The need for scientifically grounded land use in a market economy is substantiated. Furthermore, the article discusses digitalization processes and the future prospects for efficient management of irrigated agricultural lands.
