The problem of water shortage is increasing year by year all over the world, including in our republic. Various environmental and anthropogenic factors accelerate this process. Improper use of water resources, the fact that existing water facilities in our country have expired and are not being repaired are the main anthropogenic factors that increase the water shortage. The existing canal and irrigation facilities are in need of repair. Reconstruction of them inaccordance with the requirements of the times is one of the urgent issues of today. In order to carry out the reconstruction works quickly and qualitatively, it is necessary to carry out topographical surveying of the area where the object is located. Also, based on the data obtained as a result of surveying, it is desirable to determine the location of canals, their protection zone, to allocate temporary land areas for the movement of construction equipment during canal repair works, and to create an electronic digital map of them. This article describes the work done on the creation of an electronic map for the project of reconstruction of irrigation canals on the example of Beruni district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan
