This article presents an analysis of changes in the state of agricultural land in our country. The views on the importance of land monitoring in improving the efficiency of land use are explained, as well as various case studies conducted in the provision of information, in particular, on the monitoring of agricultural land, registration of land users, quantitative accounting of land, the use of the soil valuation database and data on the normative value of land.
