Abstract
The scientific article presents the results of scientific experiments on reclaiming abandoned cultivated lands in Karakalpakstan for reuse, preserving the yield and soil fertility of subsequent crops. The article presents the scientific results obtained on the necessity of mandatory reuse of lands that have fallen out of active use, preservation and enhancement of soil fertility on reclaimed lands, the economic efficiency and impact on soil fertility when sowing the main crops grown in the Republic after reclamation - alfalfa, sorghum, mung bean, beans, sesame, millet, winter wheat, and cotton - in the control usuls - leaving the lands uncultivated after reclamation and comparing it with the control non-reclaimed usul.
