Abstract
In the research process, field monitoring of pasture vegetation cover degradation, geobotanical studies, cartographic, remote sensing of lands, geostatistical, geoinformation systems and technologies, comparison, geodatabase, aerospace and geovisualization research methods were used, and the range of NDVI mean vegetation index values and its degradation degrees (very strong, strong, medium, weak, and no degradation) were determined, best correlating with the results of field geobotanical studies; the methodology for monitoring pasture vegetation cover degradation in the territory was improved based on NDVImean. analysis of Landsat satellite images; using Landsat multi-year satellite images, based on the algorithmic rules of the ERDAS Imagine software, maps showing the levels of degradation of the region's pasture vegetation cover were created; based on the results obtained using the NDVImean remote sensing method, the dependence of the pasture vegetation cover degradation process on the amount of precipitation was scientifically substantiated.
