Abstract
This article analyzes temporal changes in groundwater storage anomalies (GWSA) in Southern Uzbekistan, specifically in the Surkhandarya and Kashkadarya regions, using GRACE/GRACE-FO satellite gravimetry data. Calculations were performed on the GRACE Groundwater Subsetting Tool (GGST) platform based on the average of monthly GWSA time series for 13 selected representative points. The study covered two periods: 2003–2012 and 2013–2023. Mean GWSA changed from −0.155 cm (2003–2012) to −1.197 cm (2013–2023). The results indicate a persistent decline in groundwater storage after 2013.
