Abstract
The article presents an analysis of the physical-geographical and ecological conditions of the Bukhara Region, as well as their impact on public health. The geographical location, relief, climatic characteristics, water resources, soils, and vegetation cover of the region are examined. A review of the atmospheric conditions and the average annual level of air pollution in Bukhara for 2017–2024 is conducted, including concentrations of carbon dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur compounds, phenol, and ammonia. Special attention is given to the influence of climatic and anthropogenic factors on the prevalence of respiratory, cardiovascular, and allergic diseases. The presented data allow for an assessment of the current environmental situation and the development of recommendations for improving public health and managing natural resources.
