Abstract

In recent years, remote sensing of the Earth has covered forestry, geology, hydrology, and many other areas, along with agriculture. The development of remote sensing of the Earth is inextricably linked with the rapid development and spread of geoinformation technologies. The combined use of remote sensing of the Earth and geoinformation technologies is actively used as a source of information for space cartography, urban management, inventory and monitoring of objects of forestry and agriculture, water management, oil and gas production and transportation infrastructure, and solving environmental assessment problems.
