The article comprehensively studies and analyzes the definitions given by foreign and local researchers to the terms “forecast” and “forecasting”, forecasting methods used in land resources management and land management scheme, their content and essence, application, as well as information and opinions on the stages of forecast development and a certain sequence of work performed in the forecasting process.
