Abstract
GIS technologies are widely used in the field of urban planning. In urban expansion, the use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and technologies plays an important role in accurate and dynamic planning to solve issues such as population growth, increase in vehicles, environmental problems and infrastructure load. In the study, the information obtained from the GIS technology software is aimed at the expansion of cities, the improvement of urban ecology and the rational use of natural resources. The article serves as a source of useful information for specialists conducting scientific research on urban planning and ecology.
