The article analyzes economic-geographical theories and conceptual approaches to the development of the oil and gas industry. The oil and gas industry is of strategic importance in the global economy, and its development depends on the geographical location, resource availability, transport and logistics system, environmental factors and socio-economic conditions. The study analyzes the formation and territorial placement of oil and gas infrastructure based on classical economic-geographical theories, including location theory, geopolitical approaches and the sustainable development model.
