This article analyzes the main economic and geographical factors affecting the territorial location of chemical industry enterprises. In the development of the chemical industry, the importance of such factors as the availability of raw materials, energy sources, transport infrastructure, consumer market, qualified workforce, environmental requirements, the level of economic development of the region, and scientific and innovative potential was emphasized. At the same time, the need to locate enterprises based on environmental safety requirements and state support policy was noted. Based on the analysis of the economic and natural resources of different regions, the article puts forward scientific and practical recommendations for the optimal placement of chemical industry enterprises.
