In the article, based on the methods of analytical analysis and monographic study shows the importance of maintaining a quantitative accounting of land in the full implementation of the ongoing reforms in our country, as well as errors and shortcomings that are allowed in the correct and complete implementation of land accounting by administrative-territorial units, in particular, in order to improve the quality of the land balance, which is formed by excluding them, ensuring fairness and in order to ensure transparency, practical proposals and recommendations were made on accepting the results of a land survey as a basis, which are carried out within the administrative boundaries of the districts with the full formation of cities of the district subordination, settlements, villages, auls in accordance with the established procedure
