This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the legal status of forest land in the Republic of 

Uzbekistan, modern forms of forest land use and lease. In addition, the recent amendments to the Land Code and Forest Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan are explained on the basis of in-depth analysis. The specific experience of developed countries in the use of forest lands in Canada, the Russian Federation, the United States and Austria on the protection of forest lands, the use of forest lands on the basis of private property and lease rights was analyzed and their legal basis was studied. In addition, national legislation in the field of use and protection of forest lands in Uzbekistan has been analyzed and proposals and conclusions on the development of existing legislation on the basis of foreign and national experience have been developed.
