SMART FORECASTING IN LAND MANAGEMENT: PREVENTING DEGRADATION THROUGH DIGITAL INNOVATIONS
Abstract
The article discusses land degradation, its negative consequences and the need to use innovative digital technologies to prevent them, as well as the integration of traditional forecasting methods with new technologies in land resources management and planning, in particular, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing (RS), Machine learning (ML) algorithms, global positioning system (GPS) and Artificial intelligence (AI), and thereby creating forecasts for effective and efficient land management in a high-precision perspective.
