The article is devoted to the study of the soil cover of the foothill zone of the Kashkadarya region, which is located in the middle and lower parts of the river valley. Kashkadarya. As a result of the studies, the content of humus and nutrients, salinization of the soil profile and their distribution over individual groups of irrigated soils of the territory were clarified. According to the state of the soil cover for the studied period, there has been a tendency to deterioration of some indicators of irrigated soils, in addition, here, under extra-arid conditions, a manifestation of soil degumification is observed
