Abstract

The article examines the natural conditions and resources of the Ishim Plain, which experiences long periods of waterlogging caused by flooding of the territory. Geoecological problems of flooding of the territory and salinization of lands cause intensive transformation of landscapes and changes in the type of land use. The main properties of natural components are highlighted: relief, rocks, soils, vegetation and waters, which contribute to or weaken the manifestation of unfavorable processes. The landscape structure of the territory of the Ishim Plain is analyzed and elementary landscapes are identified that contribute to the territory’s resistance to anthropogenic impact. Natural and anthropogenic landscape structure is compared. The geographic components that influence the characteristics of the functioning and development of landscapes are characterized. The landscape structure of the central part of the territory of the city of Isilkul is reconstructed and recommendations for its improvement are given. Schemes of the city's water and plant framework have been developed. Measures are proposed to overcome flooding of the territory with groundwater.
